Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center in Atlanta, Georgia to receive Energy Star Designation

(Atlanta, GA April 14, 2005) The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in conjunction with the General Services Administration (GSA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will officially designate the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center (SNAFC) as an ENERGY STAR® Building at a ceremony on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 12:00 P.M. in Atlanta, Georgia. The SNAFC is the ninth largest federal building in the U.S. and the largest in the Southeast.

EPA's ENERGY STAR partnership offers a proven energy management strategy that helps measure current energy performance, set goals, track savings, and rewards improvements.  EPA provides an innovative energy performance rating system which businesses have already used for more than 21,000 buildings across the country.  EPA also recognizes top performing buildings with the ENERGY STAR designation.
