EPA and the Puerto Rico Environmental Quality Board Hold Public Information Sessions on the Proposed Addition of Vieques and Culebra to the Superfund National Priorities List

(04136) Vieques, Puerto Rico – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Puerto Rico Environmental Quality Board (EQB) today announced that they will hold four information sessions for the public to find out more about the inclusion of former Navy facilities located on the islands of Vieques and Culebra on the Superfund National Priorities List.
The information sessions will be held on September 21, 22, and 23 with participation from EPA, EQB, the Fish and Wildlife Service of the Department of the Interior, and Navy. Each session will begin with short presentations by the participating agencies and include time to answer questions about the proposed listing of Vieques and Culebra. The goal of these sessions is to answer any questions individuals may have about the listing process or specific questions about the listing documents.
