EPA Makes Report on Toxics Released in the Environment During 2002 Available on the Internet

(#04100) New York, New York -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has made information available on the toxic releases from 25,000 facilities covering 650 chemicals during 2002. The Agency has been issuing these annual reports since 1987 because citizens have a right to know what is happening in their communities and around their homes.
Reporters will find a full portfolio of materials on this year's annual report by visiting: https://www.epa.gov/tri and clicking on TRI EXPLORER. The information is provided in a format that makes it easy to get data on states, specific facilities and industries.
