(Seattle, Washington – September 11, 2006)
Today, EPA Region 10 is cancelling outdoor burn bans called for the following Indian Reservations on Friday, September 8, 2006:
Idaho
Fort Hall Indian Reservation
Oregon
Umatilla Indian Reservation
Washington
Colville Indian Reservation
Kalispel Indian Reservation
Air quality concentrations dropped as the result of increased ventilation due to a weather system that moved across the Region this past weekend. Wild fires continue to burn across the area today. Warm dry conditions are expected, so some areas could still experience areas of moderate air quality today and tonight. Much cooler, unsettled conditions are expected by mid week which should result in improved air quality.
