FRIDAY: Federal Urban Waters Partnership to Announce New Program Locations and Partner Agencies

WASHINGTON – On May 10, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in partnership with the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of the Interior and other federal, state and local partners, will announce that the Urban Waters Federal Partnership is adding 11 new locations and two new federal partner agencies to restore waterways, help local economies, create jobs and protect Americans’ health.

The Urban Waters Federal Partnership works to reconnect urban communities, particularly those that are overburdened or economically distressed, with their waterways by improving coordination among federal agencies and collaborating with community-led revitalization efforts to improve our Nation's water systems and promote their economic, environmental and social benefits.
