EPA Administrator Christie Whitman on Thursday, Oct. 4, will join a Texas fourth grade class to kick off a new EPA program encouraging children to learn more about protecting the environment by collaborating with other students across the nation and the world. The event is part of EPA’s Children’s Health Month, launched Monday, Oct. 1 in Washington. Students in Medway, Massachusetts will also participate via the Internet.
