EPA Awards Over $50,000 to the University of Texas at Arlington

(Dallas, Texas – February 4, 2008) The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $58,420 to the University of Texas at Arlington through the Southwest Network for Zero Waste. Funds from this grant will be used to develop a database tool for the pretreatment industry to search for pollution prevention opportunities for their plants. The project goals are to aid in compliance with regulatory requirements and to show operators how to go beyond compliance using pollution prevention.
