President's Awards for Environmental Youth Projects Bestowed by EPA

(TWO CEREMONIES)
(10/17/03) On Monday, Oct. 20 and Tuesday, Oct. 21, the President’s Environmental Youth Awards (PEYA) recipients will be recognized for their regional award winning environmental projects. The students will also give brief presentations about their projects and display of their work. PEYA have been presented by the White House and EPA since 1971 to “outstanding projects to promote local environmental awareness” by individual students or groups of students in grades K-12. Up to 10 winning projects are selected each year from EPA’s 10 regions.
