EPA Administrator Christie Whitman on Thursday, Oct. 4, will join a Texas fourth grade class and sixth graders from Medway (Massachusetts) Middle School (by Internet) to kick off a new EPA program encouraging children to learn more about protecting the environment by collaborating with other students across the nation. The event is part of EPA's Children's Health Month, launched Monday, Oct. 1 in Washington.
A live feed of Administrator Whitman's remarks will be heard In Mrs. Burnham's class at Medway Middle School. Students from Texas and Massachusetts will begin an environmental pen pal relationship using the Internet.
