EPA SPONSORS WORKSHOPS TO ASSIST IN COMPLIANCE WITH TOXIC RELEASE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
EPA is sponsoring a series of 10 three-day workshops designed to help businesses meet the regulatory requirements of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). Businesses covered under EPCRA include facilities that manufacture, process or use large quantities of one or more chemicals listed on the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI). Under EPCRA, businesses are required to report releases of these chemicals into the air, water or soil. The workshop will focus on the TRI reporting requirements, and will include a variety of hands-on exercises using actual forms and associated guidance materials to help participants understand the reporting process. Registration for the training courses will be taken on a first-come-first served basis. Dates and locations for the upcoming workshops are as follows:
April 1-3, Dallas, Texas April 30-May 2, Worcester, Mass. April 8-10, Denver, Colo. May 13-15, Atlanta, Ga. April 15-17, Washington, D.C. May 20-22, Los Angeles, Calif. April 23-25, Detroit, Mich. May 21-23, Seattle, Wash. April 29-May 1, New York, N.Y. May 27-29, Kansas City, Mo.
