PHILADELPHIA – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s mid-Atlantic region presented its Instructor of the Year Award to Jennifer Hubbard, of Wyncote, Cheltenham Township, Pa.
Hubbard, a toxicologist with the Hazardous Site Cleanup Division, was honored for creating and implementing an in-house technical writing course.
“Several years ago, Jennifer Hubbard identified a common training need and approached the training office about developing and delivering a course on technical writing,” said last year’s award recipient Charles Howland, who made the announcement at the May 11 employee recognition ceremony.
“Each year since 2000, Jennifer has volunteered to teach a two-day, technical writing workshop for EPA’s mid-Atlantic region employees,” Howland said. “Her workshops are always well received, and many students comment on the value of the interactive exercises she provides.”
Hubbard has been with the U.S. EPA since 1993.
EPA’s mid-Atlantic region covers Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
