On Monday, April 9, at 11:30 a.m., EPA Administrator Christie Whitman will announce President Bush’s Fiscal Year 2002 budget request for the Agency to protect public health and the environment.

WHEN: Monday, April 9, at 11:30 a.m.
WHERE: Room 6226, Ariel Rios Building, South Entrance, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. (Adjacent to the Ronald Reagan Building)
NOTE: WHITE HOUSE OR CAPITOL HILL PRESS CREDENTIALS ARE MANDATORY.
DIRECTIONS: By Metro: Take the Orange/Blue Line to Federal Triangle Metro Station. Proceed up the escalator; the south entrance of the Ariel Rios building is to the immediate left. Follow the signs to the press conference. By Taxi: Go to the south entrance of the Ariel Rios Building on 12th Street, between Pennsylvania Ave. and Constitution, look for the press conference sign at the south entrance. If you need help before the press conference, call the Office of Media Relations at 202-564-4355 (before 10:30 a.m.).
TV DESK-NOTE: THERE IS A SPECIAL ENTRANCE FOR TV CREWS WITH CARTS.
Because the main entrance is a National Historic Trust Lobby requiring protection of flooring, reporters with carts must enter the Ariel Rios South Building by another entrance: 1B South. This entrance is to the left of the above entrance and the Metro Federal Triangle kiosk, across from the IRS Building ( to the right of an entranceway and a sign that says “amec.” A sign over the door says “Post Office Department.”
