EPA, MASS EOEA and Marine Industry To Announce Initiative For Reducing Motorboat Pollution in Massachusetts

BOSTON – On Wednesday, March 27, at 10:00 AM the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, and four marine trade associations will be announcing a major initiative to reduce pollution from motorboats in Massachusetts.
The announcement will be made at a press conference at the Boston Yacht Haven, 87 Commercial Wharf, Boston.
Speakers will include:
- Robert W. Varney, regional administrator for EPA's New England Office;
- Bob Durand, secretary of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs
- Tom Cox, first vice president, Massachusetts Marine Trades Association
- Peter Way, president of the Cape Cod Marine Trades Association
- Larry Russo, Sr., past chairman, Marine Retailers Association of America
- Kevin Zinn, manager of environmental safety programs, National Marine Manufacturers Association
From I-93 South
Take exit 24 towards Callahan Tunnel/Logan Airport
Turn left onto North Street
Turn right onto Surface Road
Turn sharp left onto Atlantic Avenue
Turn right onto Commercial Wharf
At the parking lot, tell the guard you're going to the Yacht Haven and proceed through the lot to the Haven.
From I- 93 North
Take the RT-1A North exit (exit 24) towards Callahan Tunnel/Logan Airport/
Government Center
Turn right onto Fulton Street
Turn left onto Cross Street
Turn left onto Atlantic Avenue
Turn right onto Commercial Wharf
At the parking lot, tell the guard you're going to the Yacht Haven and proceed through the lot to the Haven.
