(Washington, D.C. - May 12, 2006) "Meeting President Bush's charge to better serve America's consumers, EPA took the next step today to address the number of boutique fuels and streamline the nation's fuel distribution system. The Governors' Boutique Fuels Task Force received a technical briefing from EPA staff on current fuel regulations related to boutique fuels and how they impact the flexibility of the fuel supply and distribution system.
"Next week the task force is scheduled to convene individuals from industry to advocacy with perspectives on the current fuel situation. I look forward to the presentations of these vital stakeholders as the task force works to meet the president's goal of advancing the nation's energy security, economic well-being and environmental health."
