TO ANNOUNCE FUEL ECONOMY LEADERS FOR MODEL YEAR 2003
TO ANNOUNCE FUEL ECONOMY LEADERS FOR MODEL YEAR 2003
EPA Administrator Christie Whitman and Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham surrounded by new models of highly fuel-efficient automobiles, will announce fuel economy leaders for 2003 as they unveil the newest edition of the web-based Fuel Economy Guide. Also on display will be alternative fuel models. Together these vehicles will highlight efforts to reduce the nation’s dependence on imported petroleum and strengthen national security.
Administrator Whitman and Secretary Abraham will view an exhibit of the automobiles on display.
The Fuel Economy Guide, produced in partnership with DOE and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, features interactive fuel economy, emissions, and safety data for model year 2003 vehicles, as well as gas pricing information and fuel-saving tips for drivers who are looking to go the extra mile.
