EPA updates consumer advisory fact sheet on website regarding lead in Washington, D.C. water

PHILADELPHIA – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has updated the consumer advisory fact sheet on its website with additional information about lead in drinking water for residents of Washington, D.C.
The online fact sheet contains basic consumer information, including how residents can get their water tested, special precautions that residents should take, and contact information for concerned customers.
The website can be accessed on the EPA website at www.epa.gov/region3/leaddc.htm .
Customers also may call EPA’s safe drinking water hotline for general information on lead. The number is 800-426-4791.
