EPA Awards Bronze Medals to Two Collegeville Residents

PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has honored Charles App, director of EPA’s office of econological aassessment and management, and James L. Thompson Jr., assistant special agent in charge of EPA’s criminal investigation division.
App, who has worked with EPA for 28 years, was recognized for his contribution in developing innovative techniques for assessing environmental data. Thompson, a native of Dothan, Ala., was honored for helping to develop an environmental mapping tool used in EPA enforcement activities. Thompson has worked at the EPA for 10 years.
"These employees deserve applause for their hard work. Thanks to them, the mid-Atlantic region is a cleaner, safer place to live," said W. Michael McCabe, EPA’s mid-Atlantic regional administrator.
