CHICAGO (April 8, 2005) — The 2005 National Environmental Partnership Summit, a conference spotlighting pollution prevention, environmental compliance assistance and leadership will take place in Chicago April 11-14.
When: Monday, April 11-Thursday, April 14
Where: Fairmont Hotel, 200 N. Columbus Drive
Who: More than 700 national leaders representing industry, government and non-governmental organizations.

Field trips have been scheduled to some of the Chicago area’s most innovative environmental projects:
8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, Southeast Industrial Corridor’s USX site restoration, Calumet Industrial Corridor’s brownfields redevelopment and Chicago’s “greenest” dry cleaning business, Lansing Cleaners;
12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. International Truck and Engine’s Melrose plant, home of “green diesel technology”; and
1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. the Chicago Center for Green Technology
Chicago’s own Baxter Healthcare Corp. will be honored for its corporate-wide commitment to environmental stewardship as an EPA Performance Track Corporate Leader at an awards dinner Tuesday, April 12, at 6 p.m. at the Fairmont Hotel.
