EPA AND THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE-ATLANTA DISTRICT TO PARTICIPATE IN SIGNING CEREMONY REGARDING THE ATLANTA CLEAN AIR INITIATIVE

On Monday, July 26, 1999, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Postal Service-Atlanta District will participate in a signing ceremony to kickoff the Postal Service’s participation in the Atlanta Clean Air Initiative (CAI). The CAI, a Federal Executive Board voluntary program, is designed to help reduce the emission of ozone- forming pollutants in the Atlanta area through a variety of commuting alternatives and energy-saving practices. Approximately 34 agencies, representing more than 82% of Atlanta’s 44,000 federal workforce are now participating in the Initiative. The Postal Service is the largest federal employer in Atlanta.

WHERE: U.S. Post Office facility, 1605 Boggs Road, Duluth, GA
(I-85 North to Exit 40 -Pleasant Hill) Turn right at the exit. Turn left at the first traffic light -Breckenridge Rd. Travel 3-4 miles and turn right on Boggs Rd. The Postal facility is on the left. Enter through the Customer Service entrance.
