EPA conference will help vets and small business owners win grants and contracts
CHICAGO (Oct. 30, 2008) - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 and the Young Entrepreneurs of the Universe will hold a free conference for veterans and small business owners from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Nov. 5 and 6 at EPA's regional office, 77 W. Jackson Blvd., 12th floor conference center, Chicago.
"Veterans and other small business owners who attend this free conference will receive valuable information about winning government grants and contracts that can help grow their business," said EPA Deputy Regional Administrator Bharat Mathur.
The first day of the conference will focus on providing information to attendees about government grants and preparing successful grant proposals. On the second day, EPA's Office of Small Business Programs and other federal agencies including the Small Business Administration will provide tools and resources for obtaining government contracts.
The conference is free, but participants must register in advance by calling 312-353-5556 or online at https://www.epa.gov/region5/business/sbconf/register.htm.
