EPA Presents Brownfields Check to City of Springfield, Missouri

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Kansas City, Kan., June 20, 2007) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 7 will present a $1,200,000 check to Springfield, Mo., for brownfields assessment and a cleanup revolving loan fund. The check will be presented during a lunch program at Springfield’s Jordan Valley Resource Days. Springfield was the only community in Region 7 selected to receive revolving loan funds for brownfields cleanup.
