CONFERENCE OF THE COUNCIL FOR URBAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Browner to Outline Administration Actions to Revitalize Communities
U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will address the annual conference of the Council for Urban Economic Development on Monday, March 8, at 12:45 p.m., in Washington, D.C. on Administration actions to revitalize communities, including efforts to clean up and redevelop brownfields -- this nation’s abandoned industrial properties -- and return them to thriving centers of prosperity. Administrator Browner will also discuss the Administration’s new Livability Agenda, including the Better America Bonds initiative, and other efforts to help communities protect public health and the environment while growing the economy.
