EPA Awards Bronze Medal to Columbia, Md. Resident

PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has honored Frederick W. (Rick) Kutz, Ph.D., senior environmental scientist who is stationed at the EPA’s newly opened Environmental Science Center in Fort Meade, Md.
Kutz, who has worked at the EPA for 26 years, was recognized for his contribution in developing innovative techniques for assessing environmental data.
"Rick deserves applause for his hard work. Thanks to him, the mid-Atlantic region is a cleaner, safer place to live," said W. Michael McCabe, EPA’s mid-Atlantic regional administrator.
