U.S. EPA TO SPONSOR TOXIC RELEASE INVENTORY WORKSHOP

Event: The Environmental Protection Agency will sponsor a workshop for
community members in Winkelman, Ariz., on using a Community Right-To-
Know resource called the Toxics Release Inventory. The Toxics Release
Inventory, which was mandated by the Emergency Planning and Community
Right-To-Know Act, is a database of toxic releases to the air, water, and land
from certain industries. The inventory is an important tool for people in
understanding the sources of toxic releases where they live and work.
Who: Patty Monahan of EPA's Toxics Release Inventory Program will provide
basic information about the program and hands-on computer training.
When: Tuesday, November 16, 1999, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Where: Hayden-Winkelman Unified School, Winkelman, Ariz.
