(San Francisco)-- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) will hold two community meetings on Tuesday, September 23, 1997 in Phoenix to discuss the results from recent sampling of homes in south Phoenix for the Quality Printed Circuits investigation.
The meetings--which will cover the same information--will be held from noon to 2 p.m., and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the South Mountain Community Center, 212 East Alta Vista.
In August 1992, a fire destroyed the Quality Printed Circuits plant at 4837 South 16th St. EPA is conducting an investigation to evaluate current environmental conditions in the area potentially affected by the fire to determine if there may be current fire-related health threats to residents.
At the community meeting, EPA will discuss the results from first phase of sampling and plans for the second sampling phase.
