EPA to give tips for a greener home at Taste of Chicago

CHICAGO (Jul. 3, 2007) - Experts from U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 will be at the Taste of Chicago's "Goin' Green Pavilion" on July 5 and 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. offering tips on simple ways to have a greener home. On Saturday, July 7, EPA will host environmental activities for children and provide information about joining EPA's Kids Club.
The EPA's booth in the "Goin' Green Pavilion" also will provide information on a variety of topics including saving energy and money while helping to reduce air pollution, what to do with old and outdated electronics, how native plants help the environment and water conservation.
The "Goin' Green Pavilion" is located to the west of Columbus Drive between Balbo Street and the Harrison Street bridge.
