EPA to Host Workshop for Vietnamese Nail Salon Employees on Hazards of Nail Product Chemicals

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the Vietnamese Professional Society, Atlanta Chapter, will provide a free workshop on nail product chemicals in Vietnamese to nail care employees and salon owners in the Atlanta area on Sunday, January 23, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chamblee Public Library.
Participants will learn important information about chemicals found in nail products, their potential health effects and best shop practices that could be adopted for a better and safer working place. In addition, they will receive a free copy of the Vietnamese version of the booklet titled “Pollution Prevention Practices for Nail Salons – A Guide to Protect the Health of Nail Salon Workers and their Working Environment” and a certificate of completion.
