CONTACT: William Omohundro, (312) 353-8254 For Immediate Release No. 05-OPA174 CHICAGO (Sept. 13, 2005) — WHAT: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will launch a new partnership with Natural Resources Canada in a joint effort to reduce emissions and fuel use from freight transportation. The agencies will sign a memorandum of understanding to engage the international freight industry in undertaking voluntary actions to save fuel and reduce carbon dioxide.
