RSR Smelter Stack Dismantling Begins with Ground Breaking Ceremony

Dismantling of the smelter stack and all existing infrastructure that comprised the now-defunct RSR Smelter site in west Dallas will begin at a ground breaking ceremony involving the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC), the city of Dallas and other community leaders. This is the beginning of the final phase of EPA's cleanup, which began in 1991.
