Environmental Justice Group Sets National Meeting in Baton Rouge

The National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC) is accepting pre- registration for its semi-annual national meeting at the Baton Rouge Hilton in Baton Rouge, La., Dec. 7-10, 1998.
NEJAC is a federal advisory committee created to provide independent advice, consultation and recommendations on environmental justice issues to the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The Council is instrumental in shaping and guiding national environmental justice policies and programs.
To further encourage a wide range of participants, NEJAC has scheduled two hours during the Dec. 7 and Dec. 9 evening sessions to hear comments from anyone who would like to address the Council. Information on registering to speak during these periods and submitting written comments is included in the conference pre-registration material.
People wishing to register for the conference or the public comment sessions may do so on the Internet at http://es.epa.gov/oeca/oej/nejac/. Pre-registration forms may be requested from Tetra Tech EM Inc., Attn: NEJAC Registration, 1593 Spring Hill Road, Suite 300, Vienna, VA 22182.
