EPA Will Celebrate World Water Monitoring Day at Westford School

As part of the national celebration of World Water Monitoring Day, the regional administrator of EPA’s New England office, Robert Varney, will join Westford town and school officials and fifth graders at the Norman E. Day School in Westford, Mass. to monitor water quality at the Reed Brook. The brook, located near the school, is a tributary of Stony Brook, which in turn feeds into the Merrimack River, finally emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. EPA will also highlight the Living Lab, an outdoor classroom and teaching laboratory at the school. World Water Monitoring Day officially takes place on Oct 18.
