U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will join North Carolina Governor Hunt, Congressman Etheridge, Congressman Price, and other officials in breaking ground for an EPA science and research center in Research Triangle Park on Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at 10:00 a.m. Browner will give remarks on the importance of the new science facility to the EPA’s research into environmental health hazards, and acknowledge the cooperation among federal, state, and local governments and private sector organizations that made the new science and research center possible.

Directions to EPA-RTP Campus: From 1-40, take Exit 279-A (Durham Freeway South) to Alexander Drive. Turn left onto Alexander Drive and travel 7 miles. Turn left into the South Campus entrance to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). Follow the traffic circle to Lakeview Drive; parking will be available across the street on North Park Drive. Shuttle bus transportation to the ground breaking site will be provided.
