EPA Awards Over $100,000 to the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma to Develop Environmental Protection Program

(Dallas, Texas – December 6, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $110,000 to the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma to manage several specific environmental programs and establish a core program for environmental protection. The tribe will use the funds to establish community outreach and education, develop quality assurance documents, and attend environmental meetings and training sessions.
