EPA EXTENDS THE DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS ON ITS DRAFT REPORT ON ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLING IN SCARBORO, TENNESSEE

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced today an extension of the comment period related to the Draft Report of Environmental Sampling for the Scarboro Community in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Originally, EPA had set a date of October 8, 2002 for public comments. That date has now been extended to November 22, 2002.
All comments should be sent to: Constance Jones Copies of the draft report are available in Oak Ridge, Tennessee at the Scarboro Community Center 475 Oak Ridge Turnpike and the Oak Ridge Public Library, 1401 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Two public meeting sessions are planned for November, 2002, so that EPA can discuss the report in more detail and answer questions from the public. The date, time and location will be announced soon. The final report should be release in early January of 2003. |
