NOTE TO CORRESPONDENTS
SAN FRANCISCO -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency today announced its decision to amend the Nevada federal visibility impairment plan with measures outlined in the settlement between Mohave Generating Station and the Grand Canyon Trust, the Sierra Club and the National Parks and Conservation Association. The agreement requires MGS to reduce sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions from its Laughlin, Nev. coal fired plant which impact visibility in the Grand Canyon National Park.
