STRAW PROPOSAL AVAILABLE ON THE VOLUNTARY
CHILDREN’S CHEMICAL PROGRAM
EPA will hold a stakeholder meeting from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1 to discuss the straw proposal on the Voluntary Children’s Chemical Safety Testing Program. This proposal is a starting point for comment and discussion and not the Agency’s final position on the design and operating features of a children’s testing program. EPA would like the discussion to center on the initial chemical selection and exposure information and test battery issues. Framework issues such as specific procedures and the administration of a voluntary program will be discussed at the January meeting. The straw proposal is available at: https://www.epa.gov/opptintr/chemrtk/frametest. The meeting will be held at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Assn., 4301 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, Va., from 9 a.m., Nov. 30, to noon, Dec. 1.
