U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will join U.S. Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen at the Pentagon on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m., to discuss the health and environmental impacts of global warming. Browner and Cohen will also discuss the Department of Defense’s ability to meet the challenge of curbing global warming through emerging energy-efficient defense technologies.
Administrator Browner will present an environmental award to Secretary Cohen to recognize the U.S. Department of Defense’s important achievements toward protecting public health and the environment by reducing the use of ozone depleting substances.
