EPA TO HOLD COMMUNITY MEETING ON QUALITY PRINTED CIRCUITS SITE

(San Francisco)--The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) will hold a community meeting to discuss the results of the Quality Printed Circuits investigation which involved sampling the yard soil, indoor and ventilation duct dust, evaporative cooler pads and indoor and outdoor air of nearly 40 homes in Phoenix, Az.
In August 1992, a fire destroyed the Quality Printed Circuits plant at 4837 S. 16th St. in Phoenix. U.S. EPA conducted an investigation of current environmental conditions in the area potentially affected by the fire to determine if there may be current fire-related health threats to residents.
The meeting will be held Thursday, March 11, 1999, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the South Mountain Community Center, 212 E. Alta Vista, Phoenix. Representatives from U.S. EPA will be available to discuss the results of the investigation and plans for future activities
