Iron and Steel Foundries to Reduce Hazardous Emissions

(09/05/03) On Aug. 29, EPA issued a final rule to reduce emissions of toxic air pollutants from iron and steel foundries. The iron and steel foundries rule sets emissions limits and pollution prevention requirements for new and existing iron and steel foundries. This rule will reduce toxic air emissions by about 580 tons per year. It also will reduce air emissions of other pollutants by about 1,850 tons per year.
