Browner to Outline Administration Efforts to Expand Americans “Right-to-Know” about Pollution in their Communities
U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will address the Environmental Disclosure Summit at Vanderbilt University on Wednesday, March 3, at 9:15 a.m. in Nashville, Tenn., on Administration actions to expand Americans’ “right-to-know” about pollution released in their communities so that they can make informed decisions to protect the health of their families. Administrator Browner will also discuss other Administration efforts to expand information available to the business community to increase compliance, streamline regulations and cut the costs meeting environmental regulations.
The Environmental Information Disclosure Summit brings together high level corporate, environmental, and government officials and selected academics to discuss the growing trend towards information disclosure as an environmental policy tool.
