EPA Awards $110,000 to the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma

(Dallas, Texas – December 27, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $110,000 to the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma through the General Assistance Program to manage specific environmental programs and establish a core program for environmental protection. The tribe will use the funds to provide an environmental office, conduct community outreach, enhance tribal solid waste program capacity, develop geographic information and global positioning system capabilities and better protect and preserve the community’s environment.
