Warner Bros.' "ER" Bestowed With EPA Partnership Award

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency presented its prestigious Partnership Award to Warner Bros. Television for highlighting the nation’s chemical emergency preparedness programs in an episode of the award-winning drama series "ER." One of 11 award winners nationwide, Warner Bros. was recognized Sept. 22 during an awards ceremony here at EPA’s tenth Chemical Emergency Preparedness and Prevention conference.
EPA’s mid-Atlantic region presents the partnership awards to companies, organizations or individuals that demonstrate exceptional creativity or innovation in state or local chemical emergency preparedness.
A scene in an episode of ER entitled "Exodus" depicted the the dramatic and life-threatening effects that chemical hazardous materials can have on a hospital’s emergency room operations.
EPA praised Warner Bros. for its role in elevating the general public’s awareness of critical preparedness and response issues via weekly programming, as well as its contributions to the EPA’s chemical emergency preparedness training efforts.
