EPA TO HOLD PUBLIC AVAILABILITY SESSION REGARDING THE VC CHEMICAL SITE, AUGUSTA GEORGIA

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a Public Availability Session on Thursday, November 14, 2002, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Allen Homes Community Center, 526 Hines Street, Augusta, Georgia. EPA, Augusta Housing Authority and the Richmond County Department of Health will provide citizens with the results of EPA's September 2002 sampling activities at Allen Homes (heavy metals were found in the yards). Residents will have an opportunity to speak with representatives about the sampling as well as upcoming soil removal plans at Allen Homes. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.
