EPA Employee Honored for Superior Service

PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency presented a bronze medal for superior service to Barbara Smith of Jenkintown, Pa. for her innovative work toward the protection of more than 20,000 drinking water sources in Region III.  Ms. Smith, an environmental scientist, has worked for over seven years at EPA.

"Ms. Smith deserves applause for her hard work.  Thanks to her, the mid-Atlantic region is a cleaner, safer place to live," said W. Michael McCabe, EPA regional administrator.
