TOMORROW: EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson to Visit Chicago for National Day of Service, Summit on Sport and Sustainability

WASHINGTON – EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson will travel to Chicago on Friday, September 11 to participate in a National Day of Service project and deliver remarks at the Chicago Summit on Sport and Sustainability.
At 9:45 a.m., Administrator Jackson will join volunteers from Chicago Cares to prepare Kilbourne Park’s community gardens for this Saturday’s Harvest Festival. At 12:00 p.m., the administrator will deliver the keynote address to the Chicago Summit on Sport and Sustainability at the Chicago Hilton.
The National Day of Service is part of United We Serve, President Obama’s national call to service. United We Serve challenges all Americans to engage in sustained, collaborative, and focused service in their communities. United We Serve is led by the Corporation for National and Community Service, a federal agency that improves lives and strengthens communities through volunteering and service.
