PESTICIDE PROGRAM DIALOGUE COMMITTEE TO HOLD A
PUBLIC MEETING JULY 21-22, 1999
The EPA Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC) will hold its next meeting on July 21-22, at the Ramada Plaza Old Town, 901 N. Fairfax St., Alexandria, Va. (703-683-6000). The PPDC was established in 1995 to provide advice and guidance to the Agency regarding pesticide regulatory, policy and implementation issues. The group is composed of a diverse group of stakeholders from across the country representing environmental/public interest groups, pesticide industry and trade associations, pesticide user and commodity groups, Federal agencies, State governments, academia, and the public health community. The committee will meet from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 22. Topics planned for discussion include: registration priority setting and status of resources; pesticide tolerance issues; the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program; worker risk assessments; and updates on: FQPA science policies, Section 18 Regulations, the Tolerance Fee Rule, PPDC work group activities and other topics. All meetings are open to the public, and both written and oral statements from observers are welcome. Oral statements presented during the meeting will be limited to 3-5 minutes and it is preferred that only one person per organization present the statement. Written statements can be filed before or after the meeting.
