Kids to Learn the Signs of Environmental Crime

(Washington, D.C. - April 11, 2008) During National Environmental Crime Prevention Week, criminal investigators from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will visit a Falls Church, Va., school to help students understand more about how EPA fights environmental crimes. EPA's special agents will show kids how they identify and investigate environmental crimes. Students will get a chance to collect "evidence" by taking fingerprints, sketching a crime scene and trying on protective gear at a mock crime scene set up at the school.
