Earth Day Fair in Dallas

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will host an Earth Day Fair for children from 39 Metroplex schools. More than 65 exhibits from EPA, local cities, environmental groups, non- profits, high schools, colleges, businesses and state and other federal agencies will inform the children about environmental issues. Regional runners-up for the President's Environmental Youth Awards and winners of two regional science fairs will be recognized by the EPA Regional Administrator.

Awards noon to 1 p.m.

Expected Exhibitors Include:
EPA with Superfund mobile clean-up unit
EPA environmental games and activities
Dallas Storytelling Guild with nature stories from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Dallas Museum of Natural History with dinosaur fossils
On the Wing Again with live birds of prey
Samuell Farm with live animals for petting and feeding
San Antonio Water System with a walk-through 3-D display of the Edwards Aquifer
El Centro College with Small Scale Chemistry demonstration
TXU with an ecological shopping game
Texas Solar Energy Society with a solar car built by area high school students
