Agencies to Gather at Caddo Lake for Emergency Response Exercise

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), along with local, county, state and tribal agencies and emergency-response organizations, will conduct a two-day exercise to evaluate and improve reaction to an environmental emergency. Sessions will explore the role of each agency and its level of preparedness in case of an oil spill and release of hazardous chemicals into Caddo Lake.
The public is invited to attend the Thursday morning session, where the role of each participating agency in response to a hazardous spill will be explained. Thursday afternoon and Friday, agency representatives will conduct a tabletop exercise and evaluation of the exercise.
