EPA Awards Over $100,000 to Delaware Nation to Develop Environmental Protection Program

(Dallas, Texas – December 5, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $110,000 to the Delaware Nation to manage several specific environmental programs and establish a core program for environmental protection. The tribe will use the funds to provide an environmental office; establish and maintain a local, regional, and national presence in environmental issues affecting the tribe; build a tribal community recycling program; and provide environmental outreach.
